about
Sheena Dhamsania is a musician and composer with ten years of public school teaching experience. Born and raised in metro-Detroit, Michigan, Sheena gained an interest in all things bass, and found herself learning bassoon, tuba, bass clarinet, and bass guitar in her childhood. Earning a tuition scholarship at Michigan State University, she studied classical music as a bassoonist and traveled west to Wyoming upon graduation to pursue a decade-long teaching career. As a performing artist, she has worked in multiple genres as a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, and has performed in venues and tours across the west. A decorated educator and performer, she is the recipient of a Teacher of the Year award and is a two-time Best of Jackson Hole musician. Compositionally, Dhamsania has worked with podcast, film, and art spaces to create authentic scores and soundscapes that help to carry an emotional and aesthetic message. She has performed and composed for brands including Arc'Teryx, Skullcandy, Quicksilver, and The North Face.
