about
Sheena Dham (she/her) is a musician and composer with ten years of public school teaching experience. Born and raised in metro-Detroit, Michigan, Sheena gained an interest in all things bass, and found herself learning bassoon, tuba, bass clarinet, and bass guitar in her childhood. Earning a tuition scholarship at Michigan State University, she studied classical music as a bassoonist and traveled west to Wyoming upon graduation to pursue a decade-long teaching career. As a performing artist, she has worked in multiple genres as a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, and has performed in venues across the country. A decorated educator and performer, she is the recipient of a Teacher of the Year award and is a two-time Best of Jackson Hole musician. Compositionally, Sheena has worked with film, podcast, and dance/art spaces to create authentic scores and soundscapes that help to carry the aesthetic message. She has performed and composed for brands including Arc'Teryx, Skullcandy, Quicksilver, and The North Face, and was selected for a 2023 Women's Audio Mission recording residency in San Francisco, CA. Her newest EP will be released on Psychic Eye Records in May 2024.
